Terms of Service

1. Use of the App

Tamped is a personal coffee journal for tracking beans, brews, recipes, equipment, and café visits. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

2. Accounts

• You may sign up with email/password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In.
• Guest mode allows browsing with sample data. A registered account is required to save your own data.
• You may delete your account at any time from Settings. This permanently removes all your data.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

• Tamped offers a free tier and an optional Premium subscription.
• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Pricing is displayed before purchase.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their respective policies.
• We reserve the right to change pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect on renewal.

4. AI Scanning

The AI scan feature uses Google Gemini to analyze photos of coffee bags and equipment. Images are processed in real-time and are not stored by the AI service. Scan results may not always be accurate — you should verify and edit auto-filled data. Scan usage is subject to monthly quotas (free: 5/month; premium: 30/month).

5. Community Features

• You may optionally publish café visits to the community map. Published content includes your display name, visit details, and ratings.
• Community publishing is rate-limited (5 per day).
• You must not publish content that is offensive, misleading, or violates others' rights.
• We may remove community content that violates these terms without notice.

6. Coffee Circles

Circles are private groups (up to 6 members). You are responsible for sharing invite codes only with intended recipients. Circle data is visible to all members of that circle.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data.
• Abuse rate limits, quotas, or referral systems.
• Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content.
• Reverse-engineer or tamper with the App or its services.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, code, and branding are owned by Sitong Ye. Your coffee data (beans, brews, recipes, photos, notes) remains yours. By publishing content to the community, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it within the App.

9. Disclaimers

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• AI scan results are not guaranteed to be accurate.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
• Café and roastery data from third-party sources (Google Places, OpenStreetMap) may contain inaccuracies.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the App or email.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
